My review of Wings

April 28, 2014

I just finished watching Wings, the Best Picture Oscar winner of 1928. Wow. The movie was great. The camerawork is fricking amazing. The aerial photography and the battle scenes are incredible. And they were all done for real. No CGI. All live. It’s really amazing how they could make movies like it in 1927. If you’re averse to watching black and white movies or, Heaven forbid, SILENT movies, Wings is definitely worth seeing. It may change your mind about them. Next up, The Broadway Melody, the Best Picture Oscar winner of 1929.
