My review of Mutiny on the Bounty

April 28, 2014

I just finished watching Mutiny On the Bounty, the 1935 Oscar winner for Best Picture. I really liked it. Clark Gable commanded the screen when he was on it, and his conflicts with Charles Laughton were tense. Some of the scenes were genuinely exciting, and the Tahitian women were lovely. This one may have been worthy of the Best Picture title. Next up, 1936’s Best Picture, The Great Ziegfeld.
